Between September 2025 and May 2026, ReciVeci® and IMPAQTO developed a series of communication and environmental education initiatives to strengthen recycling practices within the organization's coworking spaces.
As B Corps, both organizations share a commitment to generate a positive impact on people and the environment. This vision translated into an agenda of activities aimed at promoting responsible waste management and bringing more people closer to the circular economy.
As part of this work, printed and digital educational materials, in-person activations, and awareness-raising sessions focused on proper waste separation, recycling, the circular economy, and the tools available to facilitate responsible management of recyclable materials were implemented.
One of the main milestones of the process was the two training sessions held at the Quito and Cumbayá locations, which brought together over 60 participants. These sessions allowed participants to resolve doubts, share knowledge, and reflect on the environmental and social impact of recycling.
The training sessions were facilitated by grassroots recyclers linked to ReciVeci®'s inclusive recycling model, connecting participants with the reality of those who recover recyclable materials and contribute daily to the circular economy.
In addition to the in-person activities, educational content was developed for internal channels and social media, expanding the reach of the messages and promoting recycling habits both inside and outside the offices.
This collaboration demonstrates howcompanies can drive positive change when they integrate sustainability into their daily operations and recognize the fundamental role of informal waste pickers in building more circular and inclusive cities.
